KaamKaaj: a manufacturing ERP shipped from zero to running factories

Enquiries, quotes, sales orders, production, stock, dispatch, and GST accounting — one SaaS built for small manufacturers who ran on notebooks.

KaamKaaj manufacturing operations dashboard

The situation

Small manufacturers ran the factory on phone calls and notebooks: orders in one place, production on the floor, stock in someone's head, and GST invoices assembled at month-end.

The constraint

Factory owners aren't software operators. Every screen had to answer a business question at a glance — cash, orders, stock, risk — and still work for operators on the shop floor.

The approach

We designed the program around operational continuity and evidence. Each release had to prove it was at least as safe and understandable as the process it replaced.

1

Modelled the full flow: enquiry → quote → sales order → work order → dispatch → invoice.

2

Built a separate operator mode for the shop floor so the owner view stays an overview.

3

Kept accounting native: GST invoices, receivables, and cash position fall out of operations instead of being retyped.

What shipped

  • An end-to-end manufacturing ERP, orders to dispatch
  • An owner dashboard with cash, stock, and at-risk orders at a glance
  • Operator mode, BOMs, QC templates, work centers, and GST accounting

The results

1

system, enquiry to GST invoice

12 wks

to first live factory

0

orders at risk at launch

Client voice
I open one screen in the morning and know my orders, stock, and cash. The notebook is retired.
